What Can I Expect At My Event?
We have several different party packages, and each one is customizable, allowing you to have the perfect package for your event. For details about each package, please click here. In general, you can expect:
- A phone call five-minutes before your event to assure you your characters have arrived and are ready to make their entrance
- An enthralling tale of how your characters came from their kingdoms and arrived at your event
- An engrossing and fun activity, such as sing-alongs, games, or temporary tattoos.
- Dedicated picture time.
- Autographed photo of your character for each child to take home
- And lots more!
How Does Your Booking Process Work?
Please fill out our Booking Form here to receive your free quote. A royal attendant will be in contact with you within two business days with your quote, where you can then confirm your booking. How Do I Pay For My Party?
After you fill out your Booking Form, we will respond with your free quote and ask if you would like to proceed with booking.
Options for paying:
24 hours before your booking:
- Paypal – We will send you a Paypal invoice
- Email transfer
- With credit card online
On the day of your party:
We ask that cash and cheques are given discreetly in an envelope, so as not to ruin the magic for any children.
Do Your Performers Accept Gratuity?
Yes, if you wish to provide a tip for the performers it is always appreciated!
How Far In Advance Should I Book?
We recommend that you book your party at least four weeks in advance. All dates, times, and characters are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis. Our weekend dates fill up very quickly, but please feel free to contact us with last minute bookings as well, and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.
How Many Guests Should I Invite?
Our party packages are designed to work best in an intimate setting to assure each child gets valuable time with the character. Here’s what we suggest:
- 1 hour appearance – up to 8 guests
- 1.5 hour appearance – up to 15 guests
While we don’t enforce the suggestions above, if you are expecting more than 15 guests, we encourage you to book a second character to accommodate the larger party size.

Do You Just Do Birthday Parties?
Fairytale Island is happy to attend any kind of event! Family reunions, holiday parties, weddings, family photoshoots, meet and greets, and school events are just some examples of other events we can entertain at. Please contact us for information and pricing on events other than those we have listed here.
Where Should I Host My Party?
Fairytale Island is happy to entertain at almost any kind of venue! Your house, backyard, a recreation centre, or even a park are all suitable venues. We ask you just provide enough space for all of the children and our princesses to spread out in order to accommodate dance parties and games!
What Areas Do You Service?
Fairytale Island is based out of Nanaimo, but can service any area on Vancouver Island. Certain areas do require a Travel Fee. Please see our Travel Fees page here for information.
